World Walker

Once, Victor Sandoval was just a boy from Tucson. Now, he’s a powerful titan of war. After taking more than his share of glory, treasure, and enemy lives in gladiatorial combat, he would love to rest for a half-second. But deep down he knows he must continue to grow stronger in order to ascend to the ranks of the authority-wielding veil walkers. Even more importantly, his patron ancestor spirit needs him to do something—not as a mere living legend but as a true hero. On the world of Dark Ember, humanity has fallen under the evil dominion of vampire lords—masters of death magic. In their domain, people exist only to serve their masters, either as slaves or as sustenance. And it’s up to Victor to save them from unending darkness, facing off against every shape and form of the bloodthirsty undead imaginable in the process. His first major challenge will be one of those lords, a dreaded, immortal vampire who may or may not be a veil walker himself . . . Why can’t this hero stuff ever be easy?
